A lake front Cape Cod style three bedroom, three bath wheelchair accessible home for the executive and his or her family who want to get away, but need to stay in touch. Wireless dsl and Verizon cell phone service work well. This property is unique in that you can do somersaults down the lawn into the water.
July is already fully booked, but we do have openings from August 10-Labor Day for weekly rentals. Rentals after Labor Day have a 3 night minimum - the Lake is gorgeous! The water is still warm, and there is going to be a festival September 12 and 13th celebrating Watauga Lake (www.wataugalakeexperience.com) and a Triathlon on the 13th.

The hot tub under the stars on the wrap around deck is for your use alone – skinny dipping encouraged. A gas grill awaits the fish you will catch in one of the nearby stocked streams or Watauga Lake.
Also good for friends and family who want to spend time exploring the woods, hunting for deer, turkey or bear in season or just to get away from phones since cell phones don't work here!

The Lodge on Iron Mountain
A luxurious Log Home surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest, the Lodge on Iron Mountain sits atop a ridge with magnificent views. The Lodge is perfect for families who want to enjoy a vacation together where there is something for everyone to enjoy. In every season a reason to visit from swimming to skiing.
At the Lodge, families will enjoy gathering in the gourmet kitchen for conversation, watching Dad man the gas grill, playing Scrabble or poker at the game table, being together for dinner around the dining room table, or listening to stories told by Grandpa in front of the wood burning fireplace. This is how memories are made – come, make some of your own.
Four bedrooms each with a whirlpool tub and tiled bath, three with private balconies and one with a remote controlled Franklin stove, there’s plenty of room for 8 in beds plus bring sleeping bags for the kids – the floors are thickly carpeted.
